Our chapel is situated at the very heart of the school, where peace and a quiet place can be sought. It is also a place which at busy times is thriving with life and enthusiasm.
The Chapel gets used every day for morning prayers and chaplaincy groups. It is a place of refuge for students at break and lunchtimes and for staff when they need a moment of quiet too.
The Chaplain, Anne Marie, is there to welcome whoever passes by and can be a source of support for staff and students, always ready with a listening ear and sometimes even a cup of tea.
Aside from morning prayers with our students, there is a weekly Mass on a Friday at 8.15 to which all are welcome. During Advent and Lent, we have additional opportunities for prayer such as Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament where we invite our local Catholic community to come and pray with us here in school.
Throughout a school year each House will have their own mass in the hall which is usually themed and an aspect of charity work will be included. In previous years, we have collected food and clothing for local food banks such as St. Aidan's.
