Parent / Student Teams Guidance – JANUARY 2022
Firstly, thank you for your support and understanding that these arrangements are directed as part of the governments’ action to Covid, and beyond our control.
Due to a staggered start to the beginning of the term, we are committed to ensuring that we provide meaningful, focused and relevant independent work for students from January 10th – January 13th.
Some key points to note:
- Lessons will not be live as teachers will have students returning to school and we are operating the testing schedule directed by the government.
- The work set for students will be aligned with the schemes of learning / module aims planned for January. This should allow a seamless transition for students when they return to us.
In terms of setting work for home learning:
Year 12 / 13 will be set work for the morning of January 10th before returning to college for lessons.
Year 11 will be in school from AM January 10th so will not need to work from home.
Year 7 / 8 will be set work for January 10th before returning to school for lessons.
Year 10 / 9 will be set work for January 10th and 11th before returning to school for lessons.
As per school / college policy, work will be uploaded weekly for students onto Teams. This will continue throughout the year.
Location of work:
All work will be uploaded to the relevant department channel which can be found on the left-hand side of the Year Group Team page. The ICT department have been working with students in class time to ensure they can locate work in this area. This will be the central point / hub for access to student work.
