Dear Parent/ Carer,
As you are aware, the NEU have announced that they intend to hold official national strike action involving teachers (not support staff) in our area on Wednesday 1st February 2023, Tuesday 28th February 2023, Wednesday 15th March 2023 and Thursday 16th March 2023.
Please note that the dispute is not with The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth From College, the Trust or any School within the Trust. This industrial action is in relation to the NEU’s dispute with the Government over the nationally agreed pay rises when considering the pressures faced by staff with the increased cost of living which we are all experiencing.
We will endeavour to keep school open and will confirm if there are any changes in advance of Wednesday 1st February 2023.
