Dear parents/ carers of children in Year 7,

As we come to the end of this term and the year, we wanted to share with you what a brilliant start to secondary school year 7 have made.

Year 7 have shown incredible enthusiasm for learning in the classroom, embracing enrichment and wider opportunities with real commitment. Year 7 have in total been awarded 25,508 achievement points. 50 Year 7 students have attended school every day and 146 students have attended 95% or more of the time this year.

As a year group they have bought such joy to the school. They demonstrate the school virtues of respect and responsibility, justice and compassion, self-belief and resilience and confidence and honesty.

You have shown great character and determination and had a fantastic term. Your hard work and dedication has made it a real success. It has been amazing to see you all settle into your new school and form new friendships. I am really proud with how you have looked out for one another this term and supported each other during this transition process.

There are too many success stories to mention individually, but I would like to say congratulations to those who have contributed to the school football and netball team, the musical production of Oliver and the students who have taken part in the Catholic life of the school.

As a year group we have some improvements to make but I am confident that when we return in 2024 we can achieve these together.

We are very proud of all of our students, and we wish you all a very happy and holy Christmas.

Yours faithfully,
Mr M Hutchinson – Pastoral Manager of Year 7
