Dear Parent/Carer,
The English Department is delighted to offer students the opportunity to attend the tour of ‘Poetry Live!’ at Harrogate Convention Centre on Friday 31st January 2025.
The event will feature sessions delivered by a number of poets on the GCSE specification, including Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage. Poets will respond to students’ questions and discuss how poems connect to other poems. There will also be a session to prepare students for the Unseen section of the exams.
We will depart EMS at 9.00am and travel by coach to the venue. We will return to school at approximately 4.30pm. Students must wear full school uniform.
There will be 50 places in total available on this trip, so it is advisable that your child fills in and returns the form, as well as their payment, as soon as possible.
The cost of the trip will be £36. This price includes:
- Return coach travel from school to Harrogate Convention Centre
- Entry to Poetry Live!
