House Cross Country Success for The English Martyrs
Students at The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College showcased their determination, resilience and sporting spirit during this year's House Cross Country event. Pupils from across the school took to the course to represent their houses, giving their all in a series of competitive races. The event provided a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves, support their teammates and demonstrate excellent sportsmanship throughout the day.
Geography Students Apply Fieldwork Skills During Visit to Seaham
Students at The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College recently travelled to Seaham to carry out both human and physical geography fieldwork as part of their preparation for GCSE Geography Paper 3. The fieldwork experience provided students with the opportunity to apply their classroom learning in a real-world environment, developing their understanding of geographical processes and strengthening the investigative skills needed for their examinations.
English Martyrs Students Visit University of York as Part of Shine Initiative
A group of students from The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College recently visited the University of York to take part in a series of informative and engaging workshops as part of the Shine initiative. During the visit, students participated in sessions focused on study skills, Post-16 options and managing stress, all designed to support them as they progress through their GCSE year and prepare for future educational opportunities.
