The event brought together five different school communities, creating a brilliant opportunity for pupils to take part in competitive sport while building connections with others.

A group of talented athletics students from Hartlepool have been recognised for their outstanding performances at a recent Cleveland Schools event, following an impressive three weeks of competition. The students—Anabelle, Macie, Karson, Jack, Oliver, Grace, Shaun, Shiloh, John, Elly, and Violet—represented Hartlepool with pride, demonstrating exceptional commitment and determination throughout.

The English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College was proud to host this year’s Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust (BHCET) Netball Tournament on Thursday 18 June, welcoming schools from across the Trust for an exciting day of competition.

EMS in Hartlepool is proud to present its GCSE Art Exhibition 2026, celebrating the creativity, dedication and personal growth of its talented students. The exhibition showcases work developed over two years, highlighting each pupil’s artistic journey from initial inspiration through to final outcomes. Visitors can see a wide range of styles, ideas and techniques, reflecting the individuality of each student.

Super Sevens is Back!
We are delighted to announce the return of Super Sevens for our Year 7 students as we head into their final six weeks of the year! Taking us back to where it all began in their very first term, it’s fantastic to relaunch this special initiative. This week, form tutors nominated students whose actions and attitudes truly reflect the qualities of their House Saint. From kindness and compassion to courage, service and determination, these students have set a wonderful example for others to follow.

Outstanding Success at BHCET Athletics Championships
We had a brilliant day at the BHCET Athletics Championships, with strong performances from all of our teams—bringing home an impressive two trophies! A huge well done to our girls’ teams, who were exceptional throughout the competition, securing both the Overall Girls Trophy and the U13 Girls Champions title.
Strong Start at English Schools Athletics Final
Today marked the first of three exciting athletics events taking place this week, with our students competing in the English Schools Athletics B Final in Middlesbrough. All participants showed incredible grit and determination, performing brilliantly in challenging conditions.
