EMS Students Impress at Annual House Golf Competition
Students from The English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College enjoyed a fantastic day of competitive golf as ten players took part in the annual Peter McMahon House Golf Trophy at Wynyard Golf Club. Played in beautiful weather and on a course presented in outstanding condition, the competition showcased the talent, determination and sportsmanship of all those involved. Students produced some excellent scores throughout the day, making for a closely contested event.

Multi-Sports Afternoon Brings Students Together in Hartlepool
The English Martyrs Catholic School in Hartlepool recently hosted a fantastic multi-sports afternoon, welcoming over 70 students from St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School for an energetic and engaging event. Students had the opportunity to take part in a variety of sports, including archery, dance, padel, football, athletics, skipping and netball, among many others. The afternoon offered something for everyone, encouraging pupils to try new activities and develop their skills.

The event brought together five different school communities, creating a brilliant opportunity for pupils to take part in competitive sport while building connections with others.

A group of talented athletics students from Hartlepool have been recognised for their outstanding performances at a recent Cleveland Schools event, following an impressive three weeks of competition. The students—Anabelle, Macie, Karson, Jack, Oliver, Grace, Shaun, Shiloh, John, Elly, and Violet—represented Hartlepool with pride, demonstrating exceptional commitment and determination throughout.

We are delighted to announce the return of Super Sevens for our Year 7 students as we head into their final six weeks of the year! Taking us back to where it all began in their very first term, it’s fantastic to relaunch this special initiative. This week, form tutors nominated students whose actions and attitudes truly reflect the qualities of their House Saint.
