Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s)
Y8 Christmas Rewards – Ice skating
We are pleased to offer Year 8 students the opportunity to attend a Christmas Rewards Trip to Billingham Form, for ice skating on Tuesday 15th December 2026 as recognition of their excellent effort and positive contribution to school life during their first term.
To remain eligible for the trip, students must continue to demonstrate exceptional behaviour and attendance in school. Students must have no removals, exclusions, or suspensions between now and the trip date. Places may be withdrawn if behaviour or attendance expectations are not maintained.
On the day of the event, students should arrive at school wearing warm, smart-casual clothing. They will attend Prep as normal to be registered before departing from school at 9:15am. Students will travel to Billingham by coach and will be supervised by members of English Martyrs staff throughout the event. Upon arrival, students will enjoy ice skating from 9:45am until 12:30pm. We will depart The Forum at 12:45pm and return to school in time for all students to have a second lunch from 1:15pm to 1:45pm. Students will then attend Lesson 5 as normal.
The cost of the trip is £10.00 per student, consent and payment to be made via the Arbor App – Trips – Sign Up. Payment to be made by latest Friday 13th November 2026, 3.00pm.
We are also excited to announce a Year 8 Rewards Trip to Flamingo Land in March 2027, costing £45. This will be another fantastic opportunity for student who continue to demonstrate excellent behaviour, attitude and commitment throughout the year. More information about the Flamingo Land will follow in the new year.
If you have any questions regarding the trip, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Thank you for your continued support.
Yours Faithfully,
Miss. Leighton
