Dear Parent/Carer
Recently we reminded all students about the high expectations that we hold for them here at English Martyrs. These expectations enable us to support your child in becoming the best they can be. Working together with you as parents/carers we can live the school motto ‘Per unitatem virtus’ meaning ‘Strength through Unity’ so that we can positively shape the futures of our young people so that they can shape the world of tomorrow.
In the student briefing we have specifically emphasised our existing expectations around your child:
· Not using technology such as phones, ear buds, or smart watches in lessons
· Not using technology such as phones, ear buds, or smart watches outside of lessons
These expectations allow students to focus on what’s important at school. We will be relentless in upholding these high expectations and we thank you for your continued support.
If your child uses technology as noted above they should expect this to be confiscated either for the lesson, or for the rest of the school day, and returned at 15:15. This is in line with our existing policy.
Please continue to use the Class Charts app to support your child’s learning where we will track this use.
Should you have any questions or queries please contact your child’s Pastoral Lead in the first instance
Thanks for your ongoing support.
Mr T Rogers
