Athletes Shine at Cleveland Schools Event

A group of talented athletics students from Hartlepool have been recognised for their outstanding performances at a recent Cleveland Schools event, following an impressive three weeks of competition.

The students—Anabelle, Macie, Karson, Jack, Oliver, Grace, Shaun, Shiloh, John, Elly, and Violet—represented Hartlepool with pride, demonstrating exceptional commitment and determination throughout.

Determination in a Demanding Competition

Despite competing after an earlier trust event, the group rose to the challenge of a demanding and competitive day. Their resilience and focus were clear, as they delivered strong performances across their events.

Their efforts highlighted not only athletic ability but also the perseverance required to succeed in back-to-back competitions.

Success at the Next Level

Several students achieved notable success, progressing even further in their athletics journey.

• Elly, Jack, and Grace have advanced to represent Cleveland at the InterCounty Championships
• All three athletes performed exceptionally well in their respective events

A special mention goes to Jack, who has gone one step further by qualifying for the English Schools Final in Hurdles—a fantastic achievement.
