Meet our Girls Active Sports Leaders at The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College.
Their role is to help break down barriers to participation in sport, explore solutions and inspire more girls to become active.
Today, 10 Year 8 students attended the Youth Sport Trust Girls Active Inspiration Day at Teesside University. Throughout the day, the girls took part in a variety of workshops, focusing on leadership characteristics, barriers faced by girls in sport, and practical activities including kabaddi and short tennis.
We look forward to seeing their projects and ideas come to life as they work to inspire and encourage more young girls across our school to get active.
