We were incredibly proud of our pupils from English Martyrs Catholic School who had the privilege of leading the music for the Diocesan Lay Chaplain Recommissioning Mass last week.
The occasion was made even more special by the participation of pupils from St John’s Catholic School, Bishop Auckland, who joined our choir in leading the music for this important celebration of faith and service. Together, the students demonstrated remarkable talent, dedication and reverence, helping to create a truly prayerful and uplifting liturgy.
The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Stephen, and we give thanks for his continued ministry and spiritual leadership, as well as for the faithful service of the priests and lay chaplains who support communities across the Diocese.
For our young people, this was a wonderful opportunity to share their God-given gifts, serve the Church and experience first-hand what it means to be part of something greater than themselves. Through their music and participation, they made a valuable contribution to a significant diocesan celebration.
The event also highlighted the strength of collaboration across our Trust schools and provided an opportunity to celebrate our shared mission within the wider family of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
We are enormously proud of all the pupils involved, who represented their schools with confidence, faith and enthusiasm, and helped make the Mass such a memorable occasion.
