To celebrate European Day of Languages, The English Martyrs School proudly hosted the annual EMS Translation Bee, welcoming teams of enthusiastic pupils from our feeder primary schools for a morning of language learning and friendly competition.
The event began with a continental breakfast before pupils took part in three exciting translation heats, putting their language skills to the test against the clock. Throughout the competition, participants were supported by our fantastic Year 7 helpers, while our dedicated Sixth Form students took on the important roles of timekeepers and scorers.
It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, determination and teamwork on display as pupils challenged themselves and showcased their linguistic talents.
A huge congratulations to Sacred Heart Primary School, who were crowned EMS Translation Bee Champions 2026! 🏆👏
Thank you to all the pupils, staff and student volunteers who helped make the event such a success. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another fantastic celebration of languages and cultures.
