Dear Parent/Carer,
The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College are once again hoping to offer a ski trip to Austria departing Saturday 20th March 2027 and returning back on Saturday 27th March 2027
This trip is open to students who will be in Year 8-13 in September 2026.
Students must demonstrate exceptional behaviour and attitude to learning to be considered for this trip. All students will be expected to commit to the “Passport to Ski”
The cost of the trip is provisionally £1180 and can be paid on a monthly basis. This price includes:
- 5 days skiing with 5 hours of instruction
- 8 day coach hire and return ferry crossing, Dover-Calais
- 5 nights’ accommodation, bed, breakfast, and evening meal
- Hot lunch voucher for each day skiing
- 5 day lift pass and hire of ski equipment and helmet (clothing not included)
- Fully comprehensive insurance
- Personalized ‘hoodie’ as a memento of the trip
- Evening entertainment entrance fees
- Full 24 hour resort representation through North47
Additional costs may include:
- Meals on the outward and return journeys and drinks during the week
- Hiring of ski clothing, if required, approximately £50 from Sayers of Yarm
- An up-to-date passport
- Any EU Governmental costs imposed for entry to the EU
In order to travel students must have their own valid passport that has at least 6 months expiry, and a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) with at least 6 months expiry on it.

At present we are assessing interest in the trip to ascertain its viability. If this trip sounds like something your child would be interested in, please complete your child’s interest via the link below before Monday 8th June 2026.

Completion of this does not guarantee you a place on the trip or commit you to the trip, all applications will be reviewed after Monday 8th June 2026. After the closing date, if you have got a place on the trip, you will be asked to secure your place by paying the deposit. If the trip is oversubscribed, we will have a waiting list.
If you are offered a place on the trip, a non-refundable deposit of £180 is required on the Arbor app by Monday 1st July 2026. This deposit can only be refunded if another student can be found as a replacement.
