We are incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement for our Inter Girls (U15) Athletics Team, who were crowned ESAA Durham County Champions this week!
Competing against strong opposition, the team delivered an outstanding performance, finishing 1st out of 14 teams. This brilliant result means they have successfully qualified for the Regional ‘A’ Final of the Track and Field Cup—a remarkable accomplishment, especially as the team is made up predominantly of Year 9 pupils.
It was also a great day for our other teams, who all represented EMS with determination and pride. Their results were equally impressive:
- Junior Boys – 4th out of 12
- Junior Girls – 4th out of 14
- Inter Boys – 10th out of 13
These teams now eagerly await confirmation to see if they have qualified for the Regional ‘B’ Final based on their points totals.
We are incredibly proud of all our athletes, who demonstrated not only excellent performance but also teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the competition. Well done to every competitor!
