Dear Parents/Carers,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Year 11 for a hardworking and positive start to what is a very important year in their lives. They have made an excellent start showing enthusiasm and dedication.
There are only 29 school weeks until the first GCSE exam therefore we all appreciate that every week is important so your child can shine at GCSE and go on to pursue their next steps in education or employment.
We have had an assembly today to outline our Mastery programme and support that Year 11 students will receive.
Mastery offers specialist revision support with experienced subject staff. Some Mastery sessions run during lunchtimes, whilst some are after school. Please see the full timetable of sessions here. We recommend that students access as many Mastery sessions as possible. We will be contacting you in the coming weeks with information about sessions students must attend to help them to achieve their potential. Students will be recognised and rewarded for their engagement and effort.
As part of our rewards and recognition programme Year 11 students are invited on our Christmas rewards visit to the Metro Centre, Gateshead. The trip will take place on the 7th December 2023. A place on the trip will be dependent on your child meeting the following criteria:
· No suspensions from school this academic year.
· No more than 2x days of education spent in St Peter’s.
Students who meet the criteria will be given information about the trip including cost of the bus. There will be incentives including Metro Centre vouchers for students who demonstrate excellent attendance and engagement this term.
