Dear parent/carer,

I am excited to invite your child to the attend a residential visit to Oxford University from Tuesday 2nd July to Wednesday 3rd July as part of our partnership with St. Catherine’s college.

Students invited have been nominated by their teachers for the outstanding work and ability they have shown in their lessons. We believe that your child has the capability to attend a world class university and this is a great opportunity to see what one looks like.

The trip has been entirely subsidised by Oxford University so there are no costs to pay. All you need to do is complete this online form: https://forms.office.com/e/M7AfNwhVcq

Students will need to arrive to school at the latest by 7:00am for a 7:15am departure. We will be travelling with students from St Michael’s Catholic Academy and Our Lady and St Bede School. We plan to leave Oxford to return to Hartlepool at 1:30pm on the Wednesday and be back at school by around 6:45pm traffic permitting.

Students do not need to wear school uniform for the two days. Food will be provided, although they may want to bring some snacks or a bottle for water. Students will not need a large amount of money, although they may wish to purchase something at motorway services or similar. Students will need to bring their own toiletries and any medication that they may require (see form).

If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact me via email cbarnes@ems.bhcet.org.uk

Kind regards,
Craig Barnes
