Dear Parents and Carers,
I am pleased to announce that the Directors of the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust have appointed Mr. Andrew Rodgers as the new Executive Headteacher of The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form. Andrew Rodgers, currently the Headteacher at Trinity College Catholic School and Sixth Form within the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Education Trust, is a highly regarded leader in the field of education and brings a wealth of experience to the role. Andrew will assume his new role immediately after the Easter holidays.
We are also in the process of recruiting a Head of School to work alongside Andrew and will keep families informed once an appointment has been made.
During the summer term, there will be an opportunity for Andrew Rodgers and the newly appointed Head of School to introduce themselves to the school community.
The Directors and Leadership Team of the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust would like to extend their sincere thanks to Mrs. Hogarth for her significant leadership at English Martyrs over many years. Last year, Mrs. Hogarth was appointed to a Trust-wide role but temporarily deferred the position to continue leading English Martyrs as Head of School. From September 2025, she will formally take up her role within the Trust, focusing on English and staff professional development, allowing her to share her expertise across our family of schools.
Best wishes,
Mr Stuart McGhee
CEO - Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust
