Dear Parents/ Carers,
This is always an exciting time in the academic year, as we prepare for our end of the year celebrations and look forward to the next academic year. We can’t wait to welcome children who will be starting with us in September and continue to support each other as a community, ahead of the summer break.
Support over Summer
Please look out for the Safeguarding Newsletter which is coming to you very soon. This gives lots of ideas on where families can get extra support over the holidays as well as handy tips on safety and well-being.
Personal Development
We are extremely proud of our Virtues Curriculum as well as our student democracy, house, reward and recognition and extra-curricular offer. Please talk to your child about PREP – this is our morning registration and covers many themes including our Live Issues section, which helps to prepare our children for adult life by dealing with contemporary themes in our ever-modernising world.
Reading and Oracy
We know that the partnership between home and school is essential so that our children can be confident in terms of their communication skills in adult life. Please contact the school if you require any further ideas about how to support this during the Summer Break.
Student Support
Our student support services are very busy at this time, making sure we can remove any barriers to success by helping children to be ready to learn.
As previously discussed, please refer to this link as a reminder around our standards in relation to uniform. Please be very mindful when purchasing trousers, skirts, shoes and coats – the picture examples in the guidance are a useful guide. Uniform.
