Dear Parents and Carers,
We are excited to announce a proposed school trip to Rome, Italy, scheduled for October 2026. This enriching experience will offer students the opportunity to explore one of the most historically and culturally significant cities in the world.
The trip will be open to students who are currently in Year 10, Year 11 (who will be joining Sixth Form in 2026), and Year 12. We believe this trip will complement their academic studies in RE and provide valuable personal development opportunities.
Key Details:
· Destination: Rome, Italy
· Dates: October 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed – likely during half term)
· Estimated Cost: Approximately £950
· Eligibility: Current Y10, Y11 (going into Sixth Form), and Y12 students
· Support Available:
· Financial assistance for eligible families
· Flexible payment plans to help spread the cost
The itinerary will include visits to iconic landmarks such as the Vatican City, St Peters Basilica, and more, with guided tours and educational activities designed to enhance students’ understanding of historical Catholic buildings linked to their curriculum in RE. In addition, the trip will include evening meals at venues such as Hard Rock Café and culturally enriching activities such as a pizza making workshop in the heart of Rome.
If your child is interested in attending, please complete and return the expression of interest form, which can be collected from any of the RE teachers, by 19/09/2025. This will help us gauge numbers and proceed with planning and booking.
Should you have any questions or wish to discuss financial support options, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs E Hodgson at elhodgson@ems.bhcet.org.uk
We look forward to offering this exciting opportunity to our students and hope your child will be able to join us.
