The English Martyrs Catholic School & Sixth Form College is celebrating an incredible milestone as our Under 13 girls football team made school history by competing in the 6th round of the National Cup — an achievement that reflects their talent, determination and outstanding team spirit.

From the first whistle, the girls showcased exceptional self‑belief, compassion and resilience. Their confidence on the ball, intelligent play and unwavering commitment were clear throughout the match, demonstrating just how far they have come as a squad. It was inspiring to see such skill and maturity on display from a team so young, representing English Martyrs with pride and passion.

Every single player contributed to this historic moment, working tirelessly for one another and showing exactly what it means to be part of Team EM. Their journey so far has been nothing short of remarkable, and we are incredibly excited to see them continue to excel in the upcoming fixtures — and, of course, in the final stages of the competition.

A special mention must go to our superstar goalkeeper Deb, who produced a series of phenomenal saves that kept the team firmly in the game. Her bravery, focus and athleticism were outstanding and played a crucial role in the team’s success.

This is a proud day for The English Martyrs Catholic School & Sixth Form College, and we cannot wait to see what this exceptional group of players achieves next. Well done, girls — you are making history and inspiring the whole school community.
