We were delighted to welcome Initiate Theatre to EMS today, who delivered engaging productions of Macbeth and A Christmas Carol to our Year 11 students.
The captivating performances brought these GCSE set texts to life, helping students to deepen their understanding of key themes, characters, and language. Following the performances, students took part in interactive workshops, where they explored how to strengthen their exam responses through discussion, analysis, and practical activities.
Our thanks go to the students for their excellent focus and enthusiasm throughout the sessions, and to Initiate Theatre for making the journey to the North East to provide such a valuable and inspiring experience.
It was a fantastic opportunity that will support our students as they continue their GCSE preparations.
