Our Lourdes pilgrimage has began, and each day has already brought moments of prayer, reflection, service, and deep spiritual connection. As we continue this sacred journey together, we thank you for your prayers and support.

Arrival in Lourdes

We arrived safely in Lourdes filled with excitement and anticipation for the days ahead. Our pilgrimage began with a tour of this special place, known around the world for prayer, reflection, and community. From our very first steps, we felt a strong sense of peace and purpose as we began this journey together in faith.

The First Day of Pilgrimage

Our first full day was filled with moments of prayer, reflection, and togetherness. From arriving with excitement to walking side by side in faith, we quickly began to grow as a community—united in hope and love. We gave thanks for the many blessings of the day and looked forward to what lay ahead. This pilgrimage deepened our faith, strengthened friendships, and drew us ever closer to Christ.

Easter Greetings from Lourdes

During our time in Lourdes, we were blessed to celebrate Easter and shared heartfelt greetings with the wider English Martyrs community. Holding everyone in our prayers, we rejoiced in this joyful and hope‑filled season, asking the Risen Lord to renew faith, bring peace, and bestow abundant blessings upon all families.

The Candlelight Procession

One of the most moving moments of the pilgrimage was the candlelight procession. Walking gently in the glow of candlelight, we followed Mary’s invitation: “Come in procession.” Each flame felt like a prayer, each step an act of trust. Joined with pilgrims from across the world, we experienced a profound sense of stillness, unity, and peace.

Ave Maria, pray for us.

Inspired by St Bernadette

We spent time reflecting on the beautiful story of St Bernadette and how her life continues to inspire our own faith journeys. Through her humility, trust, and openness, we were reminded of our call to listen, to believe, and to say “yes.” Sharing in her story deepened our understanding of our Blessed Mother and challenged us to trust God’s plan with courage and love.

“Do Whatever He Tells You”

Pilgrimage life was filled with faith and joy as Carmel College and English Martyrs came together in Lourdes. A particular highlight was joining the wider pilgrimage community for the Youth Gathering, a powerful moment of unity, prayer, and celebration. Guided by the words, “Do whatever He tells you,” we continued to listen, serve, and grow together, trusting in God’s call every step of the way.

Faith in Action with HCPT

Our students truly lived out their faith through service as they supported the HCPT Family Groups. Through kindness, compassion, and dedication, they made a real difference—building friendships, offering care, and putting faith into action. We were immensely proud of the way they embraced this experience, serving others selflessly and joyfully.

Their actions were a powerful witness to faith lived through love, and a true reflection of our mission.
