The Year 10s have officially rewritten school folklore — mostly by doing something that few believed was possible: winning the Town Cup.
From the very first game, this team showed exactly what they’re about. Defensively solid, relentlessly hardworking, and driven by outstanding teamwork throughout the tournament. The final itself wasn’t a goal fest, but it was packed with determination, grit, and more than a few clearances that definitely went where they were meant to.
After a tense 0–0 draw — the kind that tests nerves, patience and everyone’s stress levels — the match went to penalties. A moment that usually sends players into panic and supporters into full‑scale meltdown. But not this group. With impressive composure (and only a moderate amount of chaos), the lads held their nerve and won the shoot‑out.
Cool heads, confident strikes, and a goalkeeper who picked the perfect moment to become an absolute hero meant the fourth cup of the day was heading back to EMS.
The school couldn’t be prouder. Not just because they won — but because of how far they’ve come, how hard they’ve worked, and the belief they showed when it mattered most.
An unforgettable achievement, and a group that have truly earned their place in EMS history.
