We are incredibly proud of Year 7 students Jack, Moyad and Hashir, who took part in the Hardboiled History competition over the Easter holidays. Giving up their break to explore history in such a creative way shows real commitment and enthusiasm for learning.

The competition encouraged students to bring history to life, and Henry VIII proved to be a popular source of inspiration. Each entry demonstrated careful thought, creativity and a real understanding of the historical period.

A special mention goes to Jack, who used his 3D printer to create his entry — a brilliant example of combining historical knowledge with modern technology and innovation.

All three students received postcards, prizes and achievement points in recognition of their hard work and effort. More importantly, they should be very proud of what they achieved by stepping up to the challenge and engaging so positively with history outside of the classroom.

Well done to Jack, Moyad and Hashir — a fantastic effort from everyone involved and a real credit to Year 7 at EMS.
