A group of students from The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College recently visited the University of York to take part in a series of informative and engaging workshops as part of the Shine initiative.
During the visit, students participated in sessions focused on study skills, Post-16 options and managing stress, all designed to support them as they progress through their GCSE year and prepare for future educational opportunities.
The workshops provided valuable advice and practical strategies to help students develop effective learning habits, build confidence in their studies and make informed decisions about their next steps after Year 11. Students also explored techniques for maintaining wellbeing and managing the pressures that can come with examinations and academic life.
