Dear Parents/ Carers,

I am writing to you with some updates and a summary of key reminders and with warm best wishes to you all, in anticipation of welcoming everyone back to school site next month.

It is really important that we revisit all of these key themes to ensure that to ensure your child arrives correctly attired, equipped and ready for successful learning and progress, opportunity and cultural enrichment, reward, celebration, recognition and house competition at EMS in 2025/26.

Preparing for the New School Year 2025/26 – Updates

Our latest Catholic Mission Newsletter celebrates our vibrant life and mission as a school community. Please see this link for the latest version. https://ems.bhcet.org.uk/catholic-life/catholic-life-newsletters

We have been assured that the planned road improvements outside of school on Catcote Road will be completed before the end of August 2025.

Tutor group information will be released for Years 8-11 via the School App. Details of how you can access the app are available on the various links below. Please make every attempt to access this, safe in the knowledge that the pastoral, SEND and welfare teams will be ensuring that everyone is correctly allocated into their form classes during the morning of Tuesday 2nd September 2025.

Year 7 will come to school on 2nd September 2025 knowing their tutor group allocation. Thank you to all Year 7 parents for ensuring that your child comes to school in their ‘yellow’ EMS school tie.

Please can children in Years 8-11 come in any tie that they have or without a tie if it has already been donated. During the morning of Tuesday 2nd September 2025, we will be ensuring that children are all in the correctly allocated tie during form activities.

I must stress again how important it is to revisit the uniform section of the school website, to ensure that all purchases made for uniform and equipment, including shoes, adhere to school expectations and rules.
